About KRH

The mission of The Kingston Regional Healthcare Foundation (KRHCF) is to offer financial support to The Kingston Hospital (TKH) and Margaretville Memorial Hospital (MMH) patient care services and ancillary programs.  The Foundation pursues its fund raising goals through a varied menu of programs.  Together, they provide a stable yet flexible support base.  When you give to KRHCF, you are giving a gift of health care to yourself, your family and the community.  A gift to any of the Foundation’s programs can be made in memory or honor of someone special to you.

The Annual Fund is a yearly appeal for unrestricted contributions.  The Foundation’s Board of Directors, in conjunction with the Hospital’s Board of Trustees, selects the programs and services that demonstrate the greatest financial needs to receive this support.

Specialty areas — such as renal services, surgical services, orthopedics, cardiology, urology — have unique needs that can be met with earmarked gifts.  When you make a gift expressly for capital or program-specific needs, you match your personal contribution interest with an improtant need of the Hospital.

Endowments are funds that are set aside and carefully invested, with the aim of providing a secure income for an organization.  An endowment serves as a nest-egg, providing financial security and growth potential.   Its Board of Directors oversees the funds generated by the Foundation’s endowment.

The Planned Giving Program encourages gifts of stock, chariable gift annuities bequests through wills, life insurance policies, life income plans, and so on.  These gifts help the Foundation as well as benefit donors by reducing estate taxes and income tax liability.  In addition to assisting you in making a planned gift, this program offers opportunities to learn more about estate planning and how to work more effectively with estate-planning professionals.

Special events are hosted by the Foundation throughout the year to raise funds, attract new donors and volunteer leaders and help spread the word about the Hospital and the Foundation. Events include Tulip Ball (see sponsorship form below), our Golf Classic, our HITS event, our Golden Circle Reception and our Hudson River Apple Festival.
